Since 1983, it has won 19 National Junior High School titles and more than 25 State Junior High School Championships.Every year, kids and parents work together to raise money to help defray the costs of participating in the chess club. These costs include local tournament fees, lessons from a chess master and travel expenses for attending the National Junior High Chess Championships. Nicollet Knights Chess Club is seeking donations to reduce these financial barriers so that all players may achieve their chess goals regardless of their economic circumstances. Nicollet Knights Chess Club has now partnered with Foundation 191, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, to facilitate 100% tax-deductible donations through Foundation 191. All donations made on NicolletChess.com will benefit the Nicollet Middle School Chess Program when you note on the donation that it is for Nicollet Chess.These kids work hard because they love the game of chess! Countless studies have shown the amazing benefits that chess has on a child’s development.
